The project could be up to 970 MW using a maximum of 121 turbines, with a mitigation option of 630MW using a maximum of 78 turbines, subject to development consent.<\/p>\n<p>Eneco Wind UK and EDF Energy Renewables each have a 50% stake in the project, \u00a0which will utilise MHI Vestas\u2019 8-MW turbines.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe look forward to working together with Navitus Bay Ltd. in order to negotiate the project through the necessary milestones needed to realise the project as a firm and unconditional order,\u201d said MHI Vestas CEO Jens Tommerup. \u00a0\u201cIf the project translates into a firm and unconditional order, the 80m blades are planned to be produced locally at our manufacturing facility on the Isle of Wight, providing jobs in the region close to the project.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>MHI Vestas has a blade production facility on the Isle of Wight, where it is manufacturing of 80m composite blades for the 8-MW turbines.
