It will install 20 of its 2-megawatt turbines at the Lingsagur wind farm, located in the province of Karnataka. With a tower height of 104 metres, the new turbine variant -certified by T\u00dcV NORD- is custom-designed for the low wind speed sites typical of India.<\/p>\n<p>Gamesa will handle the entire infrastructure needed to install and operate the project and will also provide the long-term operations and maintenance services. The project is expected to be completed in March 2016.<\/p>\n<p>Gamesa has already supplied ReNew Power, with 102.65MW of turbines for projects in the provinces of Karnataka and Maharashtra.<\/p>\n<p>In Brazil, the company has signed its first contract with Votorantim Energia, to supply, install and commission 98 sets of 2MW turbines at seven wind farms located in the state of Piau\u00ed, in eastern Brazil. These turbines will be equipped with Gamesa&#8217;s MaxPower technology, which increases their nominal capacity from 2MW to 2.1MW, thereby boosting output from 196 MW to 205.8 MW.<\/p>\n<p>Gamesa will also maintain the seven wind farms for the next five years.
