Capital Stage, the SDAX-listed solar and wind park operator based in Hamburg, Germany, has acquired a 7.5-megawatt wind park in Brandenburg.<\/p>\n
The purchase takes the total generation capacity of Capital Stage\u2019s portfolio beyond the 500MW mark. The wind park was sold by the family-owned business unlimited energy and GP JOULE headquartered in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The total investment volume amounts to about \u20ac18 million, with the existing project financing being retained.<\/p>\n
The wind park acquired by Capital Stage comprises three wind turbines and is part of the Wahlsdorf-Dahme wind project. The three wind turbines are scheduled to be connected to the grid in the first quarter of 2016 the latest. The wind park will benefit from a guaranteed feed-in tariff of\u20ac 8.69 cents\/kWh up to the end of the year 2035.<\/p>\n
Capital Stage expects the park to make revenue contributions of approximately \u20ac1.7 million from its first full year of operation.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe acquisition once again demonstrates that attractive projects in the area of solar and wind energy are still being developed and available in the German market,\u201d Capital Stage said in a starement. \u201c We will continue to systematically seize such opportunities. Already in mid-August 2015, the company announced that it had acquired another German solar park with a generation capacity of approximately 14MW, which too was sold by the international power plant project manager GP JOULE.\u201d<\/p>\n
The acquisition of the German wind park is part of Capital Stage\u2019s strategy to further increase the diversification of its existing portfolio but at the same time to keep the proportion of its generation capacity that comes from German solar and wind parks at around the current level of 40%.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
