The Nordex Group<\/a> was again awarded orders for the delivery of wind turbines to France in the third quarter. In 2018, it will be supplying fourteen wind power systems with an aggregate capacity of 37.2 MW.\u00a0Starting in February, Nordex will be delivering six N117\/3000 turbines for the \u201cCoesmes\u201d wind farm located around 40 kilometres south-east of Rennes. The turbines will be installed on the top of 120-metre high towers to ensure maximum utilisation of the good local wind conditions. At the same time, the systems permit quiet turbine operation. The customer is the project developer VSB Energies Nouvelles<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In addition, Nordex will be installing the \u201cValbin\u201d wind farm near Troyes from April 2018. The project comprises eight N117\/2400 turbines and also includes service for an initial period of 15 years. Developed by Eolfi, the wind farm is now owned by investor Leonidas Associates, which will be operating it.<\/p>\n

Nordex and Acciona Windpower combine decades of experience in designing, constructing and operating wind turbines, delivering more than 18 GW of sustainable energy worldwide. Few technologies have made so much progress in recent years as in the use of wind energy, and since 1985 Nordex has established itself as one of the pioneers of this development.<\/p>\n

In addition\u00a0to design, construction and operation, the Group also provides project development services, as well as acquires rights and creates the infrastructure required to construct wind power systems at suitable locations. In addition, planning, delivery, installation, and commissioning of various electrical and technical automation systems, as well as the infrastructural measures required for wind turbines. Further, it provides installation services of wind parks with the substation, as well as inspection, maintenance, repair, spare parts, modernization, technical enhancements, customer training, and remote monitoring and management services.<\/p>\n

The Group has installed wind power capacity of around 21 GW in over 25 markets, generating sales of EUR 3.4 billion in 2016. It currently has more than 5,000 employees. The production network comprises plants in Germany, Spain, Brazil, the United States and India. The product range primarily concentrates on onshore turbines in the 1.5 \u2013 4.5 MW class addressing the requirements of a wide range of markets. It is represented with offices and subsidiaries in more than 20 countries. consistently seizing development opportunities in a market that is forecasted\u00a0for continued\u00a0growth during the next few years.<\/p>\n
