{"id":9354,"date":"2015-02-18T06:21:42","date_gmt":"2015-02-18T06:21:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cleanenergyworld.net\/index.php\/2015\/02\/18\/alevo-joins-ces-to-provide-200mw-of-grid-connected-battery-storage\/"},"modified":"2015-02-18T06:21:42","modified_gmt":"2015-02-18T06:21:42","slug":"alevo-joins-ces-to-provide-200mw-of-grid-connected-battery-storage","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cleanenergyworld.net\/index.php\/2015\/02\/18\/alevo-joins-ces-to-provide-200mw-of-grid-connected-battery-storage\/","title":{"rendered":"Alevo Joins CES to Provide 200MW of Grid-Connected Battery Storage"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Energy storage company Alevo Group has signed an agreement with Customized Energy Solutions to provide 200 megawatts of grid-linked battery systems in the US.<\/p>\n<p>The GridBank-powered frequency regulation services will be made available for the wholesale energy market. \u201cMaintaining stable frequency on the grid is a critical challenge for the operators of electricity grids around the world.\u201d Alevo said in a statement. \u201cThe provision of fast-reacting power resources, such as the Alevo GridBank, to manage grid stability is a natural fit for energy storage, particularly following federally-mandated changes to energy markets that reward resources that can react at a moment\u2019s notice.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Under the terms of the joint operational agreement, Alevo will work with CES to deliver 200MW of energy storage capacity that will be distributed across its operational network.<\/p>\n<p>Energy storage technology is rapidly becoming a mainstream solution for a variety of grid services including frequency regulation, peak-shaving and renewables capture.
