Boost for Enerfin for 189-MW Australian Wind Project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Enerfin has received a double boost for a planned 189-megawatt wind farm in the Australian state of Victoria, after receiving council approval and an exemption for an environmental impact statement for the project.<\/p>\n<p>The approval by the Northern Grampians Shire council included a number of conditions that the 63-turbine project must meet prior to the commencement of construction and during the construction and operating phases of the wind farm.\u00a0 These conditions include the preparation and implementation of various project management plans and compliance programs to ensure that the wind farm meets all consent conditions and complies with local, state and federal standards and legislation.<\/p>\n<p>Enerfin, a unit of Spanish company Elecnor,\u00a0also received notice from the Victorian Minister for Planning that the minister did not require the preparation of an Environmental Effects Statement for the project, which is expected to cost A$460 million (US$362 million).<\/p>\n<p>Enerfin said it will now accelerate its work in a range of areas including energy market discussions; wind farm connection to the adjacent transmission system; detailed project design and turbine selection; and the preparation of detailed management plans and compliance programs
