Conergy has set up a joint venture with Turkey\u2019s CO Group to provide services to developers of solar-power projects in the country.<\/p>\n
The JV, RKT Conergy, will provide project development, financing, engineering, procurement and construction as well as operations and maintenance services to commercial rooftop and ground-mounted solar projects.<\/p>\n
\u201cTurkey is one of the most attractive emerging solar markets with favourable market conditions: increasing energy demand and high irradiance level, supported by a government-sponsored feed-in tariff program,\u201d Conergy said.<\/p>\n
The joint venture will be led by Heinz-Peter Tienken, Vice President Global Engineering & Service of Conergy, and Utku Korkmaz, Managing Director of RKT.<\/p>\n
The CO Group\u2019s parent company is Cenay Group, owned by Cengiz Guldamlas\u0131, who also co-owns RKT, a developer of wind and solar projects. \u00a0RKT and Conergy are already developing solar projects jointly.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe made good progress in building up a pipeline within the unlicensed PV segment and already have 30 MW of secured grid,\u201d said Utku Korkmaz, Managing Director of RKT Conergy. \u201cWith the addition of Conergy, which is both bankable and experienced in the solar sector, we will be able to further strengthen and speed up our project development activities\u201d.<\/p>\n
