Canadian Solar Inc. has brought online four projects totaling 40.2 megawatts of capacity in the UK.
All the four projects use Canadian Solar’s cell solar modules. The Hoplass Solar Park, located in the city of Pembroke, has a total system size of 10.3MW, while the Christchurch Solar Park, located in Christchurch, has a capacity of 18MW. The other projects are the 7.3-MW Coombe Solar Park in Devon and the 4.6-MW Moat Solar Plant in Retford.
All the power plants started commercial operation before March 30, and are eligible for 1.4 Renewable Obligation Certificate incentives. Canadian Solar expects two other projects to state operating in the second quarter of 2015.
