Denmark’s Dong Energy is planning to develop a 1,000-megawatt offshore wind project the off the Massachusetts coast.
The planned Bay State wind farm will comprise 1,000 megawatts. RES was the original developer, but earlier this year, agreed to transfer the lease to Dong. Danish is also building a 660-megawatt wind farm in the Irish Sea. The Walney Extension wind farm is due to be fully commissioned in 2018.
