Enel Green Starts Work on 28-MW Wind Farm in Brazil

Enel Green Power has started construction of a 28-megawatt wind farm north of Bahia in north-eastern Brazil.

The Esperança wind farm forms the final phase of the 118-MW Serra Azul wind complex. The energy generated by the wind complex will be sold through power supply contracts mainly on the regulated market. The wind complex is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.

Enel Green Power said it will be investing a US$220 million to construct the Serra Azul wind complex. The cost is partly financed via loans from the International Finance Corp. and Itau Unibanco SA.
