GE Wins Order to Supply Wind Turbines to 151-MW Chinese Project

GE has won an order to supply wind turbines to a 151-megawatt project developed by Huaneng Renewables at Yunnan Province, China.

GE will supply 55 sets of its 2.75-MW turbines to the Huaneng Dali Longquan wind project, the largest order for GE in China for its turbines. The deal also includes a service agreement for two years of operations and maintenance.

“We chose GE based on its proven reliability in other parts of the world, and the technology behind GE’s 2.75-120 wind turbine is well-suited for our local land constraints and the high-altitude project site,” said Lin Gang, president of Huaneng Renewables. “We are excited to collaborate with GE to bring more renewable energy to China.”

Huaneng Renewables is a unit of Huaneng Corp., China’s largest electricity generator.
