Turbine maker Nordex has been awarded a contract by STEAG New Energies to supply to the 27-megawatt Onze Muids wind farm in Picardy in the department of Aisne near Hauteville in France.
Nordex will supply nine sets of its 3-MW turbines to the project that was originally developed by Volkswind, but later acquired by STEAG. The contract also includes the provision of premium service by Nordex France for 15 years. The wind farm is scheduled start operating in early 2016.
Nordex had previously supplied its 18 sets of its 2.4-MW turbines to STEAG’s Ullersdorf wind farm in Germany.
