Spanish companies from Elecnor and Kingsway Europe are planning to jointly develop a 24-megawatt solar project in Barcaldine in the Australian state of Queensland.
The companies have set up a joint venture named Barcaldine Remote Community Solar Farm that Barcaldine was selected due the quality of sun in the area the availability of power infrastructure.
Work on the project is expected to start in 2016, once financing and approval is completed. The plant will have about 80,000 panels.
