sPower Starts Operating 22.5-MW Solar Plant in Los Angeles

sPower has completed and started operating its 22.5-megawatt Sierra Solar project, its first in Los Angeles County.

The 22.5MW solar farm is selling its output to Southern California Edison under a 20-year power purchase agreement. “This important milestone is another renewable energy success story for the Antelope Valley,” said sPower CEO Ryan Creamer.

“It is a result of a years-long collaborative effort from everyone involved – from LA County’s Department of Regional Planning to Lancaster landowners to SCE to our EPC partner. It is exciting to see the project become fully operational, and we look forward to continuing to foster an ongoing relationship with LA County.”
