Tata Power to Restructure Clean Energy Assets

India’s Tata Power Co. has announced a restructuring of its renewable energy assets as part of its growth focus.

The assets include 376.5 megawatts of wind assets in Gujarat, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu, a 3MW solar plant in Mulshi and 120MW of waste heat recovery based power plants at Haldia, West Bengal. The proposed structuring involves carving out of 500MW of renewable assets of the company to its subsidiary Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd. and its subsidiaries.

The renewable wind assets and solar assets are proposed to be aggregated in TPREL.
