TPI Composites is planning a new wind blade manufacturing facility in Izmir, Turkey, that double the volume of wind blades produced.
“TPI is excited to expand its global footprint and to grow its support of its customers and the strong wind markets in Europe, Middle East, and Africa,” said Steve Lockard, President and CEO of TPI Composites.
TPI has produced wind blades in Turkey since 2012, and is currently producing blades for GE and Nordex. “The planned facility will provide cost-effective, high-quality wind blades to our customers in the region,” added Lars Moller, Senior Vice President of EMEA.
