Vestas Bags 117MW of Turbine Delivery Orders Across Three Continents

Wind turbine maker Vestas has bagged multiple supply orders for 117 megawatts of projects in China, Finland and Costa Rica.

The company won its fourth year-to-date order in China for the 50-MW HECIC Fengning Senjitu Wind Farm Phase II project developed by Hebei Fengning Construction Investment New Energy. Vestas will supply 25 units of its 2MW turbines for the plant at the end of this year.

Finland’s EPV Tuulivoima placed an order with Vestas for a 53-MW project in Ilmajoki in the western part of the country. The order for the Ilmajoki Santavuori project is for 16 sets of 3.3MW turbines to be delivered and installed in the first quarter of 2016.  The project is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2016.

The second order from Finland is for the 23-MW Posio I project in Posio, Lappland and Kuusamo, Northern Ostrobothnia, developed by E-Group. Vestas will supply seven of its 3.3MW turbines in the second quarter of 2016.

Costa Rica developer Fila de Mogote, a subsidiary of US-based Hunt Energy Horizons also placed an order for the 21-MW Mogote wind power plant in the province of Guanacaste. Vestas will supply and install seven sets of its 3MW wind turbines at the wind farm in the third quarter of 2015, with commissioning planned for the year end.
