Quantum Utility Generation has contracted Vestas to supply 13 sets of its 3-megawatt wind turbines for the Passadumkeag wind farm in Penobscot County in Maine, US.
The contract includes supply and commissioning of the wind turbines as well as a five-year service agreement. The 37.5-MW project is expected to be completed in late 12015, and has a power-purchase agreement signed with Western Massachusetts Electric Co.
