Voltalia SA, the French developer of clean energy projects, has completed the second phase of the Area Branca project in Brazil that comprises a total of 30 megawatts of capacity.
The commissioning of the project in the fourth-quarter of 2014 brings Voltalia’s total installed capacity to 133MW. The project comprises 10 sets of 3MW turbines.
This will bring Voltalia’s total wind production capacity to 90MW in Brazil. Voltalia also said it is raising 30 million Euros (US$35 million) through a private placement to fund new projects. It expects to generate about 27.6 million Euros in sales for 2014, a 48% increase from 2013.
