Jordanian Solar Project Gets Funding From Mizuho-Led Lending Group

Shams Ma’an Power Generation PSC has secured US$129 million in financing from a Mizuho Bank-led group of financiers for a 52.5-megawatt solar project in Jordan.

Shams Ma’an Power Generation is a joint venture between Mitsubishi Corp, Qatar Electricity and Water Co.  and Jordan’s Qawar Group, Mizuho said in a statement. Mizuho itself will provide $39 million, with the rest coming from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation and Standard Chartered Bank.
