The Philippine government plans to issue a tender later this month for 24 resources areas to be developed by private proponents of clean energy projects.
The projects that will be covered in the areas include four geothermal and 20 hydroelectric plants. Two of the geothermal sites are in Mindanao, while the other two are in Luzon and the Visayas. The 20 hydropower resource areas are located in different parts of the country.
The auction process has been delayed from last December, according to the Energy Department, which will be overseeing the tender.
