Gamesa has won a contract to build two 100-megawatt wind projects in India that are developed by Ostro Energy.
Under the terms of the contract signed with Ostro Energy, Gamesa will install 50 sets of its G97-2.0 MW class S turbines at the Amba wind farm, located in the province of Madhya Pradesh, and a further 50 turbines of the same make at the Nimbagallu wind farm, in Andhra Pradesh.
Given the fact that it is a turnkey contract, Gamesa will handle the entire infrastructure needed to install and operate the project. The Nimbagallu wind farm is due for commissioning in December 2016, while the Amba project should be online by February 2017.
