Vestas Bags Contract to Supply Turbines for Swedish Wind Farm

Wind turbine maker Vestas has received an order to supply Nordic renewable energy developer OX2 with turbines for the Maevaara 2 project in northern Sweden.

Vestas will supply 10 sets of its 3.3-megawatts turbines for the wind farm, beginning in the second quarter of 2016 with installation during second and third quarter of 2016.

The contract includes a 15-year full-scope service agreement with Allianz Capital Partners, the Allianz Group’s investment division for alternative investments.  Allianz recently purchased the Maevaara 2 wind power plant from OX2.
