Japan’s Marubeni Corp. has started supplying its solar products to residential homes, diversifying from selling it systems to industrial users.
The company said it now sells photovoltaic systems consisting of modules, inverters, and mounting systems with support, including system components selection, logistics and installation. Marubeni has supplied 700 megawatts of photovoltaic modules to industrial users, but said it will start focussing mainly on house builders and construction companies from April.
The Japanese residential photovoltaic market had a capacity of 1,300MW in 2013, Marubeni said. The market is expected to grow with incentives from the government.
