Wind turbine maker Nordex has won a contract to deliver and install its turbines for a 17.5-megawatt project in France developed by STEAG New Energies.
The contract for the project located 120 kilometres south-west of Paris includes a 15-year premium service contract. Nordex will install seven sets of its 2.5-MW turbines from January 2016, with the project due to be completed in the summer of that year.
The turbines to be used in the wind farm have been designed for medium wind speeds and will yield an above-average capacity factor of around 34% for the project, according to Nordex.
