Philippine project developer Energy Development Corp. has restarted the first 55-megawatt unit of its Bacman geothermal power plant.
EDC’s wholly-owned subsidiary Bac-Man Geothermal Inc. operates the project. The company put the plant in an outage mode last December to install a new turbine to fix a fault. The plant has now been equipped with a new Toshiba steam turbine.
Unit 2 of the plant has 60MW of capacity whilst Unit 3 has 20MW.
