Nigg Wind Energy Ltd., a subsidiary of renewable energy developer West Coast Energy Ltd., is planning to develop a 7.5-megawatt wind farm at the Hill of Nigg.
The company has submitted a planning application and environmental statement for the wind famr to the Highland Council. The project will comprise three 2.5-MW turbines that will be able to provide enough power to meet the annual domestic electricity consumption equivalent to around 4,300 homes.
