Indonesia’s state-owned Pertamina Geothermal Energy will invest US$ 432 million in 2015 to develop new geothermal projects, according to the Jakarta Post.
The amount also includes a component for exploration and maintenance. “The allocation will be for the development of Kamojang unit 5 as well as ongoing projects such as Ulubelu, Lumut Balai and others,” PGE president director Rony Gunawan was quoted as saying.
The 35-megawatts Kamojang unit 5 in west Java is due to come online in the middle of the year..
PGE has a portfolio of 402MW of installed geothermal capacity.
