Canadian Solar Completes Sale of 10-MW Solar Project to DIF

Canadian Solar Inc. has completed the sale of its 10-megawatts AC Glenarm solar power plant in Ontario to the Dutch Infrastructure Fund.

Financial details of the agreement were not revealed, but Canadian Solar said it has a value of over Canadian $60 million (US$49 million).  The Glenarm plant, which reached commercial operation in November 2014, will sell electricity to the Ontario Power Authority under a 20-year feed-in-tariff contract.

The plant will use Canadian Solar’s CS6X photovoltaic modules. The sale represents the first of four solar projects that will be acquired by DIF. The other include the Illumination, Beamlight, and GoldLight projects.
