Inox Wind Gets Contracts to Construct Two Indian Projects

Inox Wind Ltd., a subsidiary of Gujarat Fluorochemicals Ltd., has been awarded contracts to construct two wind-farm projects with a combined capacity of 172 megawatts.

The contracts for the projects, comprising a 54-MW plant in Guajrat and a 118-MW facility in Rajasthan, were awarded by Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Power Co.

Inox Wind will supply, erect and commission 86 units of its 2-MW wind turbine generators at the plants. The Gujarat project, located near Rojmal village of Bhavnagar district, is expected to be completed by June 2015 while the Rajasthan project located near the Dangri village of Jaisalmer district is due for completion in two stages, by March 2016.

Inox Wind is responsible for site acquisition, project development, erection and commissioning, and also providing long term operations and maintenance of wind power projects.
