Japan’s Eurus Energy has started commercial operations of a 18-megawatt wind project in Akita prefecture.
This project consists of six sets of 3-MW turbines supplied by Siemens. Eurus Energy operates two other wind farms in Akita, and with the completion of the latest project, its total installed capacity in Akita is 55.65MW.
Eurus is joint venture between Tokyo Electric Power Co. and Toyota Tsusho, the trading arm of the Toyota Group.
