Gamesa Bags Wind Turbine Supply Contracts for Brazilian Projects

Gamesa has secured two new turbine supply contracts in Brazil totalling 150 megawatts in capacity.

Serveng Energias Renovavsis, a subsidiary of infrastructure group Serveng, placed an order for the supply and and commissioning of 54  sets of 2-MW turbines at several farms within the Uniao dos Ventos complex located in the towns of Pedra Grande and Parazinho in the state of Rio Grande do Norte, in north-eastern Brazil. These turbines are will be supplied in stages in 2016 and 2017, with the facilities due for commissioning by the end of 2017.

Companhia Hidroelétrica do Sao Francisco  and Sequoia Energia placed an order for 13 sets of 2-MW turbines at the Papagaio and Coqueirinho wind farms and 8 sets of 2-MW turbines at the TamanduáaMirim 2 wind farm, located in Pindai, in the state of Bahia, east of the country. The turbines are scheduled to be commissioned during the first half of 2016.
