Enrbidge’s 110-MW Wind Farm in Texas Starts Commercial Operations

Renewable Energy Systems Americas Inc.  has started  commercial operations of the 110-megawatt Keechi wind project owned by Enbridge  in Jack County, Texas.

The project comprises 55 sets of 2-megawatt turbines supplied by Vestas. It connects to Brazos Electric’s Joplin substation via a 12-mile generation tie line. Vestas will provide turbine operations and maintenance services for the first five years of the project.

The wind farm will deliver electricity into the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, Inc. market, under a 20-year power-purchase agreement with Microsoft Corporation.
