Pakistan to Get 3 New Wind-Energy Projects With 129.5MW of Capacity

Developers of three wind-energy projects with 129.5 megawatts of capacity in Pakistan have signed power-purchase agreements with the state-owned National Transmission and Despatch Co.

The agreements were signed with Tapal Wind Energy for a 30-MM wind farm, Master Wind Energy for a 49.5-MW project and Gul Ahmed Wind Power for a 50-MW project. The wind-power plants will be located at Jhimpir district Thatta and are expected to start operating by the end of 2016.

The developers of the projects expect to close financing in the next few weeks.
