SunEdison Inc. has signed an agreement to set up four solar power plants in Long Beach, California that have a combined 2.5 megawatts of power.
The City of Long Beach selected SunEdison to install the solar systems on a number of city buildings and properties, including the Long Beach Airport and the Main Health Department building. Each solar installation is designed to offset power exclusively for the city at the sites where the systems are installed. SunEdison Services will provide operation and maintenance of the plants.
