NextEnergy Solar Fund Ltd. has signed an agreement to acquire the 16.5-megawatt Croydon solar solar-power project in Cambridgeshire, England for £17.8 million (US$26.6 million).
The solar farm was connected to the grid on March 2 and the purchase agreement includes the 1.4 Renewables Obligation Certificates support mechanism. The acquisition is expected to be completed by the end of the month.
NextEnergy now has 15 assets with a total capacity of 171.3MW.
