Enel Starts Work on 88-MW South African Wind Farm

Enel Green Power has started construction of the 88-megawatt Nojoli wind farm located in the Eastern Cape Province in South Africa.

The wind farm will be able to generate more than 275 gigawatt hours per year, with output to be sold to the South African utility Eskom  through the 20-year power supply agreement that EGP was awarded with in October 2013 as part of the Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme promoted by the South African government.

In the same tender, in addition to the Nojoli wind project, Enel Green Power was also awarded the right to build the 111-MW Gibson Bay wind farm and four solar projects with a total capacity of 314MW.
