Goldwind to Supply Turbines to 120-MW South African Wind Project

Chinese wind turbine producer Goldwind has won its first order in South Africa with a deal to supply the 120-megawatt Golden Valley project developed by BioTherm Energy.

BioTherm Energy won the rights to develop the project under the fourth round of the nation’s Renewable Energy Independent Power Producer Procurement Programme announced last week.

Goldwind will supply 48 sets of its 2.5-MW wind turbines to the wind farm project located in Eastern Cape Province.
