Sempra U.S. Gas & Power has acquired the 78-megawatt Black Oak Getty wind project in Minnesota from Geronimo Energy.
Financial details of the agreement were not disclosed. Construction of the wind farm will start in 2016. Output from the wind farm will be sold to Minnesota Municipal Power Agency under a 20-year contract.
