Vestas Wins Order to Supply 99MW of Mexican Wind Projects

Vestas has won an order to supply 99 megawatts of wind turbines for the La Mesa and Ciudad Victoria wind power farms in Tamaulipas, Mexico.

The order was placed by Isolux de Mexico, and Vestas will supply 30 sets of its 3.3-MW turbines. The two projects each have a capacity of 49.5MW.

The contract with Isolux de Mexico S.A. comprises supply, installation and commissioning of the wind turbines as well as a 15-year full-scope service agreement. Wind turbine delivery is expected during the fourth quarter of 2015 and commissioning is planned for the third quarter of 2016.

This is the second order that Vestas signs in Tamaulipas this month, following the deal for the 149-Mw Tres Mesas project.
