Gamesa to Supply 103MW of Turbines to West Virginia Wind Farm

Gamesa has signed a contract with Canada’s Enbridge for the supply of 103 megawatts of turbines to the New Creek wind farm being developed in the state of West Virginia.

Gamesa will handle the transport, installation and commissioning of 45 sets of its of its G90-2.1-MW turbines and four of its G90-2-MW turbines at the facility. The turbines are slated for delivery over the course of 2016 and the project is expected to be up and running by the end of next year. In addition, the company will operate and maintain the wind farm for five years.

The agreement with Enbridge is the first between the companies.
