Wave energy company W-Energy Oy has signed an agreement with Mexico’s ENAL and EPC to develop, design and deploy a 10-megawatt wave-energy project of the Pacific coast of Mexico.
The wave farm, once operational, will be the first in the Americas. “Not only will such a wave farm be if incremental value to the parties involved, but also bring significant employment opportunities creating a wholly new marine energy industry in Mexico to feed both local and international markets,” W-Energy said in a statement.
