Munich Re Bags 38.4MW of Wind Projects From Eolus

MEAG, Munich Re’s asset manager, has signed an agreement to acquire of 38.4 megawatts of wind power developed by Eolus for US$49 million.

The agreement covers the delivery of eight sets of Vestas’ 3.3-MW wind turbines for a total of 26.4 MW in wind farm Iglasjön in Kungsbacka municipality and the operational 12-MW wind farm Jung-Åsa comprising of six sets of Vestas 2-MW wind turbines in Vara municipality.

Eolus will continue to provide technical, operational and administrative services for both projects. This is the second deal between the two companies. In 2013, Eolus sold 14 operational wind projecyt with an installed capacity of 30MW to MEAG.
