Trina Solar to Supply Modules to Japanese Solar Plant

Trina Solar has signed an agreement to ship a total of 96.2 megawatts of solar modules to the Hosoe solar project in Kyushu, Japan which is developed by Pacifico Energy K.K.

The agreement was signed with Toyo Engineering Corp., which will the construct the project. The modules will be shipped starting from the fourth quarter of 2016. The project will be constructed on 140 hectares of land where a golf course was originally planned.

“Japan remains one of the key markets for us, and the share of solar in the energy mix for the country is expected to further increase,” said Ye Chen, President of Trina Solar Japan. “We will carry on executing our growth strategies in the residential, mega solar and commercial segments while further diversifying our client base to expand our footprint in Japan’s solar market.”
