Bluefield Solar Income Fund Ltd. has signed agreements to acquire three solar projects in the UK that have a combined capacity 48 megawatts.
Details of the sellers were not disclosed. Bluefield, a Guernsey-based closed ended investment fund, will pay a total of £54 million (US$83 million) for the plants. Bluefield will fund the acquisitions from the £131 million it raised in November.
The assets acquired are a 6.5-MW plant in Somerset, a 12.5-MW plant in Wiltshire and a 29-MW plant in Oxfordshire.
