Strong Growth For Solar PV In Turkey Expected In 2016 and 2017

In 2016 and 2017, an increased number of large-scale projects with more than one MW capacity are expected to receive approval. The first installment for the licensed large-scale plants is 600 MW. DTE Energy Transforms Detroit Brownfield Land Into Solar Power Array

DTE Energy, Michigan’s leading provider of and investor in solar energy, has received approval from the Detroit City Council to develop one of the largest urban solar power arrays in the country on a 10-acre vacant parcel of land in Detroit. The project will generate more than $1 million in tax revenue for the City over the life of the 20-year lease and will produce enough clean energy to power nearly 450 homes. DTE plans to begin construction on the project in May, with completion scheduled for the end of 2016.

San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) has signed a 20MW energy storage facility agreement, capable of storing enough electricity to power 28,000 homes for up to 4 hours.
